How does it happen?

What follows is one possible approach. What actually happens will depend on your specific requirements. We offer  as much guidance and advice as you wish but…… it’s YOUR website so what matters is what YOU want!

Consultation The first step is a discussion with you about the purpose, content, structure and style of the website. A checklist is used to guarantee that all aspects of site creation are covered. This discussion is usually a face to face meeting but can also take place remotely via, for example, Skype, Facetime or telephone. A written estimate of cost can be provided following this discussion if required.

Domain name You will need to buy a domain name if you don’t already have one. Domain names usually cost less than £10 per year. Very often, this is done during the first meeting.
Web space You will need to buy web space from a web hosting service. The cost varies according to needs. Prices start from about £15 per annum. Again, this is often done during the first meeting.
Preparing Content You will need to supply Fotoscope with text and any images you wish to be included on the site. We will assist with things like the creation of a banner and the preparation of images. We can also take photographs for the site.
Version 1 A first version of the site is created and will be online for you to review.
Amendments Any changes, additions and deletions will be discussed and implemented. Anything and everything can be changed at any point. This stage continues until the site is completed.
Maintenance Over time, the site is maintained by deleting, updating, editing or adding content. This can be done by Fotoscope or by you.
