Kaleidoscope Help – Introduction

This section covers everything you will need to know to run the scripts successfully. You can navigate the pages by using the links at the bottom of each page to move through the material sequentially, or you can use the sidebar menu on the right. Having said all of that, you can also jump right in and run the scripts with the default settings! Experimentation will yield some great results!

I’m an amateur scripter who is entirely self-taught and I wrote these scripts entirely for my own purposes. Mainly, I wanted to create kaleidoscopes but I’d also never used Javascript before and I wanted to learn a new scripting language. The scripts are completely free for anyone to use and you are welcome to open them up and edit them as you wish.

This section of the website won’t work so well on mobiles or tablets as it was written with laptops and desktops in mind. My assumption is that you won’t be using smaller devices to create your kaleidoscopes! (Also, I’m not very good at designing for mobiles devices!)

I apologise to Apple Mac users as I have not included any mention of Macs. Indeed, I don’t know if the scripts will work on a Mac. They should but I haven’t tested this.
